1440: Collection of Time - Budapest

When I began this project, the idea of forming a collection and building up an archive of this scale and range was exciting and in particular the aspect of recording or marking my own position at the various times and locations stood out; with the idea of ground covered and distance travelled inherent.

As the project has progressed the act of stopping and experiencing each minute has become more prevalent. To stop and wait for the exact minute of the clock; a pleasing composition of the surroundings for a photograph; or, as I have now started to do, to film for a full minute; is to step out of the norm for a portion of time and begin to notice and capture small details that would otherwise pass by.

Whilst I am still photographing clocks, I am taking more and more one-minute films and the collection has started to expand to include places further afield.
